Community Guidelines
How we keep Aloayitifm safe, kind and useful for everyone.
Aloayitifm is a home for the Haitian community everywhere. These guidelines apply to groups, discussions, profiles, events, announcements, marketplace listings, jobs and everything members share. Respè pou tout moun.
1. Be respectful
- No insults, harassment, threats, hate speech or bullying — about anyone’s origin, color, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, politics or social class.
- Debate ideas, not people. Kreyòl, Français and English are all welcome.
2. Keep it real and safe
- No scams, fake listings, pyramid schemes, or requests for money from strangers.
- Never ask job applicants or buyers to pay a fee up front.
- Don’t post other people’s private information (address, phone, documents, photos) without their permission.
- Meet people from Aloayitifm in public places, tell a friend where you are going, and never send money to someone you only know online.
3. Accurate information
- Post real events, real businesses and real jobs. Mark sponsored content as sponsored.
- For news, share trusted sources. We may remove false or dangerous information.
4. No adult or violent content
No sexual content, graphic violence, or content that promotes self-harm, weapons or illegal activity. Members must be 16 or older.
5. Respect creators
Only upload photos, flyers, music or videos you have the right to share.
6. Reporting and moderation
Use the Report link on any post, comment or profile, or contact us. Our team reviews reports quickly. We may edit or remove content, hold new members’ first posts for review, and suspend accounts that break these rules.
Mèsi for helping us build a community we are proud of.
